Cathey's Valley Preschool is a First 5 Mariposa County School Readiness program. Children are introduced to pre-reading skills and number recognition, as well as art, science, nature and music through a play-based curriculum.

The activities at Cathey's Valley Preschool reflect the natural stages of cognitive and social development of children, ages three to five. We recognize that each child is unique and will move through these stages at his/her own pace. Our goal is for all children who attend Cathey's Valley Preschool to thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment and enter elementary school healthy and ready to learn.

Building Blocks Preschool in La Grange is a First 5 Mariposa County School Readiness program.

Our philosophy of the First 5 School Readiness is that all young children and their families deserve the same opportunities to succeed, regardless of any demographic, geographic or economic considerations.

We are dedicated to teaching the children how to grow into caring, capable adults through a partnership with parents based on support and education, designed to build on family strengths.
